Dr Matthews has experience in treating patients of all ages, from the elderly to the younger, active patient. 

To stay up to date with the latest advances in the field of orthopaedic surgery, Dr Matthews remains an active member of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He is actively involved in teaching of both medical students and orthopaedic registrars through Lismore Base Hospital.
